Service Description
DCOF Slip Testing measures the slip resistance of hard flooring surfaces under wet or dry conditions using a calibrated BOT-3000E tribometer in accordance with ANSI A326.3-2017 standards. This test determines the Dynamic Coefficient of Friction (DCOF), which represents the force required to maintain motion between a foot and walking surface.
Results are commonly referenced alongside ANSI A137.1, which provides performance criteria and recommended DCOF thresholds for ceramic and stone tile products used in pedestrian environments.
This testing is suitable for tile, stone, concrete, and other hard flooring materials and is widely used for safety assessments, construction quality control, and forensic slip-and-fall investigations.
A minimum of 3 test locations is required per site. Price is CA$500 per test location.
